Pre-Race Email
Important Racer Information
Hello!
And thank you for registering for the 2nd annual Tower to Town race in
Lebanon, PA! We look forward to seeing you this coming Sunday, October
6th.
We have a number of pre-race instructions to share with you. Please be
sure to share this email with friend who may not have registered yet. We
do allow race day registration (cash or check only).
ALL RACERS:
The
race begins at 9:30am at the Clarence Schock Memorial Park Nature Center.
This is also known as Governor Dick Park. The address for the nature center
is 3283 Pinch Road, Manheim, PA 17545. Depending on your GPS
(mapping) app, this address can be problematic. If you’re not taking the
bus, please be familiar with where the Nature Center and park are before
Sunday.
Registration opens at 8:00am at the Nature Center. The ONLY item
at registration are the BIB NUMBERS. Swag bags, t-shirts
and your commemorative plant will be handed out AFTER the race at the Finish
Line. You can not get your swag bag until you finish the
race.
Please be familiar with the course. We are using pink survey flags,
directional arrows and course marshals to prevent anyone from going off-course;
but we recommend you review the route anyway: https://www.plotaroute.com/route/686167
There are three water stations on the course. The race takes place rain or shine.
SOLO RACERS:
We
are providing transportation to the Start line from the Finish line on the
morning of the race. We have lined up THREE BUSES. One leaving
at 7:50am, 8:15am and one leaving at 8:45am. Please do not be
late.
The finish line is at the Optimist Park in Lebanon, PA also called Louser
Memorial Park(1400 Elder St, Lebanon, PA 17042). Please plan ample time
to get there, find the park and park your car.
You are not required to take a bus. Please feel free to carpool with
relay racers or be dropped off.
RELAY RACERS:
Both racers must register and get their bib at the
Start. You will also receive a team braclet that will be
traded at the relay point. Please make sure you have matching numbers and
a bracelet. Both teammates should drive to the start, then racer #2
should take the car to the relay point and racer #1 can drive it to the
finish.
The relay point is at Rt. 419 and Boyd Streets in Cornwall, PA. You
can see the Root Beer Barrel and the parking lot from the Cornwall Post Office,
located at 7 Boyd St, Cornwall, PA 17016 (if you need an address).
