Photo Contest

We are giving away a FREE SOLO race registration to one person who posts the BEST picture of the Lebanon Valley Rail Trail or Governor Dick park.  Our race benefits the construction of the John Wengert Memorial Park, an awesome example of an urban greenspace.  We want your photo to convey what urban greenspaces mean to you.

Duration: September 6, 2018 to September 13, 2018

Entry Deadline: Entries may be submitted September 6, 2018 through September 13, 2018; and
must be received no later than 10 p.m. EST on September 13, 2018.

The top 5 finalists (5 photos) will be notified of their status by September 14, 2018 and will appear on our Facebook page and website on September 14, 2018.

Winners Announcement: The  winner will be announced on our Facebook event page and website on September 16, 2018.

Official Rules & Requirements

By submitting an entry, each entrant agrees to the Official Rules and warrants that his or her entry complies with all requirements set out in the Official Rules.

  1. Who may enter: Amateur photographers ages 18 and over are eligible. Professional photographers who earn more than half of their income taking pictures are not eligible. The Tower to Town race directors will determine winners’ eligibility.
  2. Participants must warrant that the photos submitted must not have been entered in any other contest or published for commercial use.
  3. It is the responsibility of participants to ensure the photos were taken with the permission of the subject and do not infringe the copyright of any third party or any laws.
  4. Tower to Town Race will hold the rights to all entries and materials that qualify as finalists.
  5. The judging of this contest will be based on content, composition, technique, creativity and impact.
  6. The decision of the top 5 finalists will be final, and no correspondence shall be entertained.
  7. Tower to Town Race reserve the right to use the winners’ names and photos for the purpose of publicity and advertising for the race, for exhibition and commercial products without compensation and prior notice. Photos may appear on the Tower to Town website and in publications.
  8. Tower to Town race reserves the right to cancel or amend the contest and its Rules and Requirements.
  9. Decisions of the race directors will be final.
  10. If you have already registered for the race and your photo is chosen, you will be refunded your race entry fee.
